Pinterest Recipe - Stuffed Peppers

Hey guys I did it again! I tried out another Pinterest recipe, and it is delicious! I found the recipe for Bobby's Stuffed Red Peppers.
(source)

I wanted to make a family dinner for Valentine's Day. My boyfriend and I bought the ingredients. My sister and another friend were planning to hang out, but I am glad they stayed to help us eat! My parents got to go on a date and went to the movies while we cooked.

Instead of just red peppers, I also bought some orange and yellow peppers. We cut the tops off and stuffed them with meat, veggies and rice. We put Uncle Ben's Spanish Style Ready Rice in the bottom then the ground beef with cooked onions and green peppers on top. We had extra rice, so I added some to the tops of the peppers.

The kitchen was packed with my boyfriend cooking the meat and prepping the peppers, me making alfredo, and my sister baking brownies. I'm glad we got to stay in and cook a meal, and my parents enjoyed themselves with a movie and a free dinner when they got home.

Pinterest Recipe Review - Crockpot Chili

I'm so glad this recipe came out great! Everyone loved it!

Here's the original link: Thick and Hearty Chili by I Wash...You Dry

Here are my ingredients. I was concerned that I wouldn't have enough chili for everyone, so I bought an extra can of diced tomatoes. I used a can each of light red kidney beans, dark red kidney beans and pinto beans. I didn't know how some people felt about black beans. I love black beans though.

I cooked 1 lb. of meat and threw all the ingredients in a large crock pot. Luckily I had almost all the spices for the homemade chili seasoning. I threw in some paprika and adobo for good measure. I cooked everything on high for 4 hours, and it was done when I came home.

I'm glad I picked this recipe to make first because it was SO EASY!! My friends even repinned the recipe! Thanks Shawn!

I don't have a chili after picture because I didn't have time to take one. As a consolation, I took a video of my sister the birthday girl cutting onions. Enjoy!

NEW - Pinterest Recipe Testing

I'm diving head first into my Pinterest recipes with this Crock-pot Chili recipe from I Wash...You Dry. Mmm, check out this chili:

My sister's birthday is today, and she decided that I throw her a not-surprise birthday get together. It wasn't last week that my dad asked me, "What are you going to have for food at the party?" I thought, I don't know, I told them to bring a snack to share and that was that. I know that was not smart of me. What if everyone brings flaming hot Cheetos or just pizza rolls?
I had to act fast. I ordered Cuban sandwiches this morning, but I wanted to make something else. So after studying a few chili recipes, I think this will be the best one for tonight. In just a few minutes I will be making the rush from work to my house to throw this chili together in the crock pot, run to the local bakery to pick up the sandwiches (support your local stores!), and head back to work. I will post a blog tonight or tomorrow about the results. Time to go!
